"Mad Cow Disease" in the U.S.

Information about the presumptive diagnosis of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE, aka mad cow disease) in an adult Holstein cow from the state of Washington.

The best source of information on this diagnosis and BSE will be the USDA website.
